We finally did it! We bought a permanent campsite at Cozy Corners Campground in Richmond, MN.
We picked out a camper at a nearby RV Dealer and had it delivered last Friday.
It is a 2000 Fleetwood Mallard. The camper is 37 feet long; it has a queen master bedroom, and a bunkhouse for the kiddos in back. It's in really really nice condition despite it's age and we think we got it for a STEAL.
The campground is on the Horseshoe Chain of Lakes - so we will be bringing our boat up next weekend. We hope to get a dock space for the boat next summer.
The best part about Cozy is we are surrounded by friends. The Krattenmakers are next door and our dear friends, Chad and Jodi are just across the street. Other friends are thinking about buying a place too. It's like one big frat party in college - except we all have kids now, so we're much more responsible!
Cameron really likes the camper!
Madison is so excited about having her own camper. She tells everyone that we have a camper and points out every camper she sees on the road. She does not quite understand why our camper will never move and says she wants a driving camper. She doesn't quite get how much work going in to actually setting up the campers! This is so much easier.
