A Perfect Child

Well, our pediatrician confirmed what we already knew. Madison is a perfect child. (Her words, exactly!) Grandma Lee will be proud to know that the pediatrician also confirmed what she has always known, that Madison is "very advanced for her age."

At Madison's two year well child visit, we learned that she is in the 60th percentile for her height and the 40th percentile for weight. She is tall and skinny like I was as a child. according to Dr. Barton, Madison's speech is very advanced - she could understand 100% of Madison's words with a benchmark of 50%. Most children her age should be saying two word phrases where Madison is speaking in four word phrases. She is counting to seven (but always forgets 5!).

For the first time over the weekend, Madison even recognized the value of the number three. The three of us were standing in our bedroom talking and playing. She saw our reflection in my three way mirror and said "three mommies, three daddies, three madisons."

So, I am happy to say that my child is indeed perfect in every way. ;)

I attribute it to good genes.
