We didn't have daycare yesterday so I had to take the day off to stay home with Madison. We had a great day by going to Silver Lake Playground and McDonald's for lunch. In between we squeezed in a few car repairs. The estimate for the damage to the truck was $830!!!! I couldn't believe it. I thought it would be $300-$500. Seriously, it isn't that bad and is hardly noticeable.
I also had the truck to the Ford Dealership to figure out why it happened in the first place. Mike kept saying I was crazy and there was nothing wrong with it. The repair was minor, only $130, but it was a very real problem. There is a pin that moves when you press the brake. This allows you to shift the truck in and out of gear. It is pretty common for this pin to get gummed up and quit working. They said that it will get to the point where you can't shift the truck into park at all.
After the repair was made there was a very noticeable difference in it!
Hmmm. Guess I'm not crazy after all.

Yikes! I hope it was all covered under insurance. I'm glad you got it fixed before something more serious happened.
I don't think we'll turn the damage to our truck in to insurance. Our deductible is $500 so insurance wouldn't pay much anyway. *shrug* oh well - stuff happens sometimes! It's only a truck and it's only money.
