So - I have to learn how to take my camera out of the case. I've always believe that if I left it out, I was much more apt to grab it and snap a few pictures. I recently put it where it goes and I'm taking a lot fewer pictures as a result!
So - last weekend was our first full weekend at home in a long time. For once, we didn't have any plans or anywhere to be. So - what did we do??? We worked. We worked our little tails off for the entire weekend. We managed to sneak in a few snippets of fun as well.
My drapes are hung. YAHOO! I still have to find a curtain rod to hang the scarf - but at least my neighbors can't see in my windows anymore.
Mike power washed the house, the patio furniture, the garage, and just about anything else that you can shoot high pressure water at. It's so nice to have everything looking so clean!
I scrubbed grout all weekend. YUCK. In fact, I even have a bit more to do but I ran out of Magic Erasers. In my opinoin, Magic Erasers are the only cleaning product you will ever need.
On Saturday we decided to go for a bike ride. The weather was quite nice despite strong winds. Our neighborhood is very hilly and makes for some huffing and puffing as you go. Everytime we were stuggling to ride up hill Madison would start to sing "Up the hill, up the hill, up the hill." In the cutest little voice ever. Eventually Mike got tired of struggling up the hill and turned around to her and said "easy for you to say" as she road quite comfortably in her trailer. She didn't really understand what he was getting at!
Madison and I made home made popsicles on Saturday. On Sunday I promised her a popsicle after her nap. The first thing she asked for when she woke up? A popsicle! Of course, no matter what I tried, I could not get the popsicles to come out of their mold - so we had to drive to the grocery store on an emergency popsicle run. Madison was a kid on a mission! In her cute pink dora crocs with capris and a t-shirt and pink sunglasses; she went tearing through the store in search of popsicles. I heard more than a few chuckles as I chased after her and helped her choose a box. I think we will be sticking to store bought popsicles from now on.
All in all, it was a great weekend. We were completely beat by the end of the day Sunday. In fact, I think we were all in bed and asleep by 9 pm!
