Weekend at the Lake

This post is a little lake - it's taken a few weeks to get to the pictures on the computer! We have had the perfect August in Minnesota. Normally, August is hot, humid, and unrelenting. This year, the days have been sunny and mid-80's, the nights have been cool (mmm...good sleeping weather!). We have been able to turn off the A/C after having it on for most of June and July. We couldn't let this perfect weather go to waste, so last weekend, while Daddy and Chad were on a trip to see a NASCAR race in Michigan, Madison, Jodi, the twins, and I went to the lake. (Never thought Mike would go to a NASCAR race, more on that later!)

Mom and Dad just bought a new seasonal and they still have the old one - which was perfect for the five of us to stay in!

We spent our days with the Pontoon boat beached on the Island - just enjoying the sunshine and playing in the water. The nights were spent around the campfire and of course, we went on our traditional Saturday night trip to the lodge for ice cream cones. Yummy.

Uncle Trevor was fixing a friend's jet-ski, so he gave Madison a ride while he tested it out on the water. Madison was scared to go at first, but just like the snowmobiles, she had fun once she did it!
