I passed!

I had my 1-hour blood glucose test last week to check for gestational diabetes.

I failed.

UGH. I know a lot of people fail it and have to go on to the 3-hour test. I knew when I went to take it that odds were I didn't have GD, but at the same time, I'm resigned to the fact that life hasn't gone as planned lately - so I was a bit worried that I would test positive and end up giving birth to a toddler sized baby.

I took the 3 hour test yesterday. I feel like a pincushion. I was told I would receive a call with my results by noon today. No call. I had meetings most of the afternoon, so I didn't have an opportunity to check in with my doctor until about 3:30.

I just got off the phone with his nurse and I passed with flying colors! All four of my blood draws were within normal blood sugar ranges.

YIPPEE! Finally - something is going as it should!
